In Continuation to "Men Empowerment"... :)

A lot has been written about…A lot has been said about…. A lot has been discussed about… Discussion, Blogs, Articles, Columns, Newspapers….. A lot many more…..

“Why the hell the rapist is roaming freely?”
“Is he even charged for same?”

“Headline : He moved out; happily settled in his life.”
“Serving life imprisonment, sentenced to death….”

And So on so forth…..This continues…. My question is till When ? Why ? With Whom ? What ? and The series of WHY’s continues….. And now my question is tell WHEN is this going to continue….

We read, we react, we have goose bumps,
We cry, We defend….

We blame, We give Uncertain reasons….
We find new reasons…. We defend the newly discovered reasons….

We discuss…. We Zero upon some old fantasies….

We read, We react, and now in a tranquil way…
We cry, We say ‘its normal…’
We blame, We say Common it happens….

We discuss…. We stop……
But this W’s never end… They go ON and ON and ON………

The term rape originates in the Latin rapere, "to snatch, to grab, to carry off". Since the 14th century, the term has come to mean "to seize and take away by force”.  I am aware, that all literates must have read this especially Google freaks….Definition will change from 12th to 14th to 21st century…. "But the outcomes  – they are same…."

But do you really think that it matters…? My basic and foremost question is WHY this happens… Its not about physical snatching or mental snatching… My question is about the mentality that is responsible for such acts… especially after reading “Bitter Chocolate” a beautifully and factually penned down book by none other than Pinky Virani. There are goose bumps, when you read a single line.

And the outcomes, focus group discussion, panel discussions  are “You should dress up neatly….. Girls should avoid roaming around post 8 pm… Provoking behavior/ outfits is solely responsible for such acts”… sometimes it holds true…that responsibility is from both sides, but that does not mean that a person should do anything…and all barriers be on girls…It cannot at all justify the statement.

And if for a minute we consider all these statements true, ‘why was a girl aged five was brutally raped in Captial of our country’. And the reason given and claimed, forecasted was, “Girl tempted for a pack of wafers…this tempted a construction guy to do bad deeds… but if the kid could control her desires for that pack of food, things would have been different”. Such article pisses me off.

A courier guy, scanning a tea-shirt and track pant worn girl from head to toe does not justify any of these statements. It cannot be snatching or grabbing physically… but the tortured eyes cannot be tolerated. It may not be a crime according to law, but definitely a stepping stone for big crime in years to come. An X-Ray machine eyes at office, roads, public transport, gym, clubs, restaurants etc is equal to rape in my opinion.  And then the series of W’s continues.

Why a kid, a 6 month bay has to go through this,
Was she wearing a provoking dress?

Was she roaming at night?
Was she tempted for a packet of food?

Was she talking huskily to you?
Was she at a place at night where she was not supposed to be?

If No then Why… what tempted this demon to behave in this way…

I could only summarize this in such cases then:

I only understand that it is mental, psychological… punishments should be amended in such a way that person would think 1000 times before even thinking of committing such crimes. Clean thoughts can lead to peaceful, clean, and tranquil world… its high time to wash out such filthy thoughts from atleast the new and upcoming generations. Because if this continues, this bag bad world will turn out into a filthy, ewwwww environment, unhealthy to even breathe.  Simple funda is “Give Respect Gain Respect”.
We cannot rub off the past sins done, but atleast make something, or contribute something to make peaceful world tomorrow. I am not the one to again state facts, (they are already discussed in newspapers, televisions, blogs), but yes definitely I am here, who can try convince kids around me not to create;
Another Aruna who may remain comatose for 42 long years instead of happily settled in a marital life with kids and bright professinal career in front awaiting with open arms,
Another Nirbhaya who will have to loose her life instead of happy professional career with shining dreams in kitty ,
Another Aarti Thakur an acid attack survivor - "The state government, which introduced a scheme in 2013 to help survivors of acid attacks and sexual assaults, has told the Bombay high court that Aarti Thakur (25), attacked at Goregaon railway station by her former landlady's son, was not eligible as it happened over a year before the scheme was launched".
Another teenagers ... who were assulated and hanged from a tree in village instead of attaining school and landing up in good college for further education
or for that matter another tender 6 month old or 5 year old Pinky instead of cuddling up with mother and listen fairy tales.

"यत्र नारी पूज्यन्ते , तत्र देवी रमन्ते " - When will society follow this is a big question

The thought behind saying this is a simple one liner by Dalai Lama.

He says “If every person starts meditating at the age of eight; there will be no violence left in this world”.

Truly High Time to think and act !!
